There are no shops in Sterpark itself, but Savannah Mall is only about 400 m away and Thornhill Shopping Centre — SuperSpar, Clicks and Sportsmans Warehouse — is roughly a kilometre off.
Its closeness to the CBD and to two major shopping centres makes it a favourite with young professionals and small families.
Housing is mostly freestanding homes and townhouse complexes rather than large gated estates.
