Extension 71 is one of the numbered township extensions on the western side of Polokwane, in the belt of housing between the city centre and Seshego.
It is a mainly residential area of subsidised and lower-cost housing, served by local schools, clinics and small traders.
The Seshego shopping centres and the Polokwane CBD are both a short drive away.
